Project Summary

Get ready, Lubbock—something exciting is taking root downtown! The Lubbock Downtown Park will be a dynamic, event-driven green space designed to bring people together at the very center of our city. Spanning the full city block between Broadway and 13th Street, and Avenues L and M, this inviting new park will become the front porch of downtown—a place to gather, celebrate, relax, and connect.

Funded through private donations, charitable grants, and strategic investments in downtown revitalization, the park is a key piece of Lubbock’s broader vision for a walkable, thriving downtown. Imagine a future filled with bustling local shops, modern workspaces, new residential options, and a vibrant indoor market—all anchored by this one-of-a-kind public space.

More than just a park, it will be a catalyst for transformation—attracting new businesses, energizing existing ones, and inspiring the redevelopment of surrounding historic buildings. It’s a place where families, professionals, artists, students, and visitors will find something to enjoy, every day of the week.

What’s Coming to the Park:

• Expansive open lawns for picnics, play, and relaxation

• A versatile multi-use stage for live music, performances, and community events

• A pet relief area for our four-legged friends

• Colorful public art scattered throughout the park

• An interactive game zone with outdoor classics like cornhole, chess, and ping pong

• A food truck court serving up local flavors

Designed for all ages and all seasons, the Lubbock Downtown Park will be the city’s newest landmark and a true heartbeat of community life. Join us in shaping the future of downtown. Let’s grow something great—together.
